The reconstruction of the bridge on the way Plzeň - Žatec required a bold solution. It was necessary to transport the 150 t steel structure of the bridge and to carry a new one, which was even 16 t heavier. To implement the plan, thorough preparation was needed. In the first step the track was scanned with a 3D scanner, we evaluated the critical points of the rocky outcrops and their subsequent demolition. Then we were ready to build a temporary bridge, which was sliding in the transverse direction and this allowed us to remove the old structure. This old structure was subsequently burned in pieces of maximum 4 t which took completely 5 days!
